I/We, the undersigned, agree with the Louisville Metro Development Review Committee resolution from Case Number 21-CFR-0002, dated March 17th 2021 whereby the:
“Louisville Metro Development Review Committee does hereby RECOMMEND that the school delay opening until the traffic impact can be mitigated as identified in the previous traffic studies prepared for this area”; Reference Traffic Impact Study Conducted October 2018 and KYTC Consultants review and acknowledgement of safety issues at US60 / Eastwood Cutoff.
I/We also strongly request that the JCPS East End Middle School delay it’s opening until such time as Highway Road Project 05-8952-00 Eastwood Intersection Restructuring and US60 Road Widening be completed in order to address the serious safety issues already identified.
The current school opening is scheduled for late 2023 / early 2024. Project 05-8952-00 is not scheduled for completion until 2026. I/We believe this schedule is unacceptable and must be addressed.
