Who We Are and What We Do – Become a Member to Make Our Village Great

eastwoodvillagecouncil@gmail.comThe Eastwood Village Council (EVC) is an all-volunteer Kentucky non-stock, non-profit 501(c)3 corporation and is open to every resident that lives within Eastwood Village, and every property or business owner that operates a business within the boundary of Eastwood Village. The boundary of Eastwood Village is officially defined in the “Eastwood Neighborhood Plan”.

EVC was developed to advocate, promote and help revitalize the Eastwood area for village style growth, according to the Eastwood Neighborhood Plan, approved by Louisville Metro Council in 2005. The Eastwood Village Council’s executive board has approved our advocacy/membership area to include property from Aiken Road and Long Run Park to the north, Taylorsville Road to the south and Floyd’s Fork and Shelby County line to the west and east respectively.

Residents can become a member of EVC by paying a voluntary $25 tax-deductible, annual membership fee. Business memberships are $50 or $100, based on the number of employees less than or greater than ten.  Once you become a member, you may vote at the annual November meeting to elect the Executive Board. Monthly board meetings are held at 6:30 pm on the second Tuesday of each month at the First Baptist Church – Eastwood, 16122 Eastwood Cutoff Road.  EVC members are encouraged to attend all monthly meetings.  HOA’s and businesses residing outside of the membership area can become sponsors of the EVC at the recommended tax-deductible rate of $100. Memberships and sponsorships are welcome at any time and are effective for the current year if paid before the November annual meeting.

Anyone interested in the future development of our community is invited to support the Eastwood Village Council through membership or sponsorships. Any tax deductible contributions enables the Eastwood Village Council to advocate for the design standards, land use, infrastructure and transportation improvements and the recreational open spaces that enhances Eastwood’s sense of place and quality of living.
